SUST: The Lighthouse on Sustainability aims to raise awareness of the importance of sustainable design in the built environment and the contribution it can make in delivering a sustainable future. It does this by providing increased access to guidance, tools and techniques for clients, design teams, and community-based groups.

Loch Fyne Oysters Trust was established by the Board of Loch Fyne Oysters in 2000 and merged with the Loch Fyne Marine Trust in 2003.  Its remit includes the protection of the environment particularly within Scotland and the area around the head of Loch Fyne. Loch Fyne Oysters specialises in producing and supplying quality fresh and smoked seafood, shellfish, meat and game to individual and trade customers around the world and is committed to a policy of total sustainability. It donates a percentage of its profits each year to the Trust.

Friends of the Earth Scotland (FoES) is an independent Scottish charity campaigning for environment justice. It achieves this through a range of activities including: campaigning, research, information, community action, parliamentary work and international associations. FoES have successfully championed initiatives in Scotland which are bringing about renewable energy, better public transport, less pollution, cleaner rivers and beaches, greater accountability from companies and freedom of information.

The Lighthouse is Scotland’s Centre for Architecture, Design and the City. It provides an opportunity to experience architecture and design through a changing programme of exhibitions, education and life long learning, networking, events and initiatives. It building also contains the award winning Mackintosh Centre and Mackintosh Tower with city views, Vitra Conference Suite, form: the Lighthouse Shop and the doocot rooftop café/bar.
